New USPS Postal Rates
On May 14th, 2007 new postal rates increased to $.41 cents. Most individuals were only affected when sending greeting cards or the occasional personal letter because many of us today are using online bill-pay and automatic banking so we don’t actually purchase as many postage stamps as we did in years past thanks to the Internet, email and online banking.

You can purchase Certified-Mail-Envelopes that now includes Electronic Return Receipt - ERR™ and save $0.60 postage on each mailing. Each Envelope costs $1.55 but it can replace the $2.15 old fashioned Green Card cost. Additionally the service includes Internet software to address, print bar codes, track and print the manifest and the Electronic Return Receipt.. This postal automation makes it easy to mail both small and large amounts of USPS Certified Mail. You can import an address file from Excel and the software will standardize the mailing address with the internal CASS Address Database automatically. You can even skip the trip to the Post Office and just drop the letter in a mailbox or give to their letter carrier. This is possible because each envelope contains 'in-route tracking' so you get electronic verification the Post Office accepted your mailing and keep up on the in-route and final delivery confirmation.
