These toner transfer foils are not self-adhesive, you need toner (with heat) or glue for the foils. There is more choice at www.kreativbegabt.de This toner transfer film works with two methods: ♦ Instructions for laser printer & laminating/foiling device: 1) Print something in black with a laser printer on suitable paper. (e.g. a pattern or lettering) 2) Place the film on the printed paper with the glossy/colored side up. 3) Then put a white sheet on top or place the whole thing in a designated folder and run it through your hot foil machine/laminator. (The heat melts the toner and becomes glue) 4) Remove the foil and where it was printed black, the glossy color sticks. ♦ Instructions Blue Glue Pen ZIG glue stick: 1) Draw something with the glue stick on the desired paper. (You can also Pre-Drawn/Printed Descendancy) 2) Let it dry until the blue color becomes transparent. 3) Place the foil with the glossy/colored side up on the paper and run pressure over the foil. (It works best with your fingernail) 4) Repeat this until the entire adhesive layer is covered with the color of the foil and the beautiful effect is complete. Tips for a perfect result: Paper: Paper/cardboard that is not too thin (from 100g) and has a very smooth surface is best suited. I can recommend the brands Mondi and Clairefontaine. Printer: It has to be a laser printer because you need the toner that melts with the heat and becomes glue. (An inkjet printer won't work! If you don't have a laser printer, check with your local copy shop or use a Blue Glue Pen) Transfer device: A laminating/foiling device that works at high temperatures works best. I have achieved the best results with the "Heidi Swapp Minc Machine". Attention: Some areas can remain black, to avoid this pay attention to the tips for a perfect result. Also make sure the surface is dust free. (The transparencies work on paper and card stock, but not very well on overhead transparency or tracing paper.) The print setting may also need to be adjusted.
