We are selling 1/4 lb. or 4 Oz. of premium grade dewaxed Super Blonde Shellac. We carry the finest quality of shellac available and will guarantee its quality. Detailed instructions will be included with your order. Dewaxed Super Blonde Shellac Flakes has very little color. It is primarily used as a clear coat in order to reveal the natural color of the wood. It allows the natural color to show through. It has a wonderful clarity and depth of shine. It will produce one of the most beautiful finishes in woodworking. Super Blonde is one of the most popular colors for bringing out the natural color of exotic hardwoods. The difference between Super Blonde and Platina is one shade. Super Blonde gives the wood a little more amber color and is the 2nd lightest color available on the market. The best way to store your Shellac is in its dry flake state. If it is stored in a cool dry place. It's shelf life can be up to many years. Warmth will cause the flakes to stick together. For mixing, I grind my shellac into a fine powder with an inexpensive coffee grinder prior to mixing to speed the process. This cuts mixing time significantly. High quality shellac has many uses like antique restoration, refinishing, sealing for other finishes or to hold objects in place to be engraved, chased or diamond setting. The photo of our shellac is taken to display its true color. Please note that layers, pound mix and wood color will come into play on your finished product. Samples should be used prior to finishing your final piece to produce the best results. Different colors of shellac can be layered to provide various shades on the finished product. This shade looks especially good on any wood when the natural color of the wood is desired. Shellac also works well with stains, dyes, varnishes, and other coatings such as Waterlox or Polyurethane.
