Description

Each Hand Forged® Ball Mark is made using a mixture of stainless and mild steel (or copper) in Portland, Oregon, USA by a second generation blacksmith who learned the trade in his father’s shop. The ball marks were designed by SEAMUS GOLF, and Inspired by a vintage niblick, the metal ball mark carries forward the same aesthetic of the hickory shafted antiques gamed by Tom Morris and the like. After laser cutting each coin and heating them to about 2200 degrees in a white-hot fire, the red hot metal is then shaped on an anvil like soft clay, using only the most ancient tools of the craft: hammers, chisels, punches, and the the hand of the blacksmith. Each ball mark is then sanded, buffed, and tumbled on an individual basis, and the results are a completely different and unique ball mark for each golfer. Choose to add your own custom stamp (15 characters max) at no charge for an even more personal ball mark.

The Lucky Horseshoe Ball Mark is built to bring a little good fortune to your game. Designed after the first iron horseshoes that were forged in Europe by farriers as early as 910 AD. The tradition of hanging horseshoes for good luck comes from a numerous cultures, though the most striking story is of Saint Dunstan who reportedly shoed the devil himself and forced him to promise to never enter another household with a horseshoe above the door. Each ball mark is crafted from high-quality steel that is die-cut and then hand-hammered by our Portland-local, second-generation blacksmith.

No personalization available on this ball mark.

Pairs well with one of our premium leather Hand Forged®, available in three bold colors.
