Description

A Williamsport man was scammed out of $4,000 by a man asking for gas money in exchange for gold jewelry. According to State Police, on Tuesday around 6:45 PM, troopers responded to a location on East 3rd Street in Loyalsock Township for the report of a 'cash for gold' scam. An unknown male and female driving a black 2020 Ford Explorer with alloy wheels asked the victim for gas money to drive home to Florida.
