The dowels have grooves and rods to hold your fabric in place. The working drop on the frame is 1 ft (30cm), but due to the nature of the frame design, there is no limit to the length of fabric that can be inserted into the frame. 79855 250-1 Overall size 55cm x 40cm Will fit fabric up to approximately 45cm (17.5”) width. 79856 250-2 Overall size 70cm x 40cm Will fit fabric up to approximately 60cm (23.5”) width. 79857 250-3 Overall size 85cm x 40cm Will fit fabric up to approximately 75cm (29.5”) width. The depth of all three sizes of stretcher bars is 35mm (approx 1 1/2")
