Cool, vintage dresser salvaged from Northeastern PA. Except for the backing and the inside of the drawers; the dresser is completely painted green and pink. The paint is quite thick and glossy. Since it's painted, it's tough to tell what wood it's made of, but I do know it's a hardwood (most likely mahogany or walnut).
Cool, vintage dresser salvaged from Northeastern PA. Except for the backing and the inside of the drawers; the dresser is completely painted green and pink. The paint is quite thick and glossy. Since it's painted, it's tough to tell what wood it's made of, but I do know it's a hardwood (most likely mahogany or walnut). This dresser is VERY heavy for it's size. The dresser itself is in excellent structural and cosmetic condition. However, there are spots where the paint is scratched or scuffed. The top has 2 scuffs that are only noticeable at the right angle. There are nicks, scratches, and white marks here and there. All you would need to fix this is some touch-up paint. Since the blemishes are so small and thin, even if you don't have the exact same shade of green or pink, the touch ups will be much less noticeable than the nicks and scratches. There are no breaks, rot, warp, or any other serious flaws. Our carpenter thoroughly inspected the piece and didn't need to make any repairs or reinforce anything. The drawers slide out with ease and don't jiggle. The chest is strong and sturdy and is ready for another lifetime of service!
