It is just a brilliantly designed tool and the perfect accompaniment to my diary of choice. I am not a pen snob (boring), but I do believe that we should take as much enjoyment as possible from utilitarian objects.”

Scribe pens are made in France of proprietary resins from a renewable resource. The comfortably weighty, balanced feel is a result of the solid brass interior. When you are ready to write, remove the round tip-protector and snap it on the back of the pen with a satisfying “click”. The ceramic rollerball produces a controlled black ink flow. Long-lasting fine point refills are available.

The company, founded in 1930, was originally dedicated to high quality, finely engineered saddlery; it still produces leather goods. It later expanded to become one of the most highly regarded manufacturers of writing instruments.
