The lid is an engraved (I'm sure there's a proper descriptive word for it but I can't think of it) or wood burned design of a crest, with supporters, and a patterned design around the border.details - - age - 19th century- measures 3 1/4" x 1 1/4" x 5/8"- light colored wood with wood peg construction, one wood peg is broken on the top but does not impair the opening or closing of the box- please review the photos to better understand my descriptions- shows wear and tear as expected with age, sold as isall sales final
