More about the inspiration for this painting: This painting depicts Garden of the Gods, a beautiful place in Colorado Springs, Colorado. The orange and red rocks jut out of the ground in striking formations. We enjoyed a hike around a small section of the park and saw some people rock climbing on one of the rocks. It's a really unique place to visit. I loved the contrast of the super blue sky with the warm tones of the rocks.
