The Quick Press offers the user a quick and simple method for producing good quality KBr pellets. The Quick Press comes complete with the 7mm Die set. Using modest hand pressure, a clear pellet is produced. The pellet is formed inside of the metal collar. The 7mm collar is placed on the solid sample slide holder. Both a 1mm and 3mm Die Set are available for micro sampling techniques. It is recommended that a Beam Condenser be used when analyzing micro samples of these two sizes (1 & 3mm).

Features: Taps and dies are tools used to create screw threads in all kinds of metalwork projects. 'Tap' is used to cut or form a thread on the inside surface of a hole creating effectively a nut, whilst a 'die' is used to cut or form matching bolts. Both tools can also be used, with a cutting oil, to up dirty, rusted, or worn threads in old nuts and bolts eg car spark threads, which often suffer from corrosion and a buildup of carbon.
